February is upon us, and love is in the air. Everywhere we turn we see hearts, flowers, and chocolates. But do we see our love documented in current portraits? Or do we have to reach back through the years to that engagement photo, or wedding album? Of course we cherish those memories of days when our love was young, but what about now?
Years of marriage and togetherness have deepened our love, given us a new definition of romance, and probably a very different idea of what, “Happily Every After,” truly looks like.
We recently photographed Kendall for her senior photos. She was lots of fun and the results were stunning. She isn’t a “country” girl, so we decided to do part of the shoot near downtown Dallas. Kendall has a great smile but can pull off the more serious poses too. Her favorite activity in her spare time is watching Netflix. She has a chocolate lab named Cocoa Bean, a whippet named Jasper and a german shepherd named Charlie. Her favorite season is FALL and a place she would love to visit is Spain.
What a neat couple! I met them on a photoshoot to take pics for their Christmas cards. They have recently relocated from the Big Sky country to Texas (again)and wanted their cards to scream TEXAS so we incorporated the longhorns into the photos. It is so refreshing to spend time with people with such a positive outlook on life and obvious love for one another.
One thing that will never go out of style is an exceptional black and white portrait. Properly lit and composed, it can be very dynamic. I use a different lighting style when creating black and white portraits that yields dramatic results. Call me to schedule your black and white family/individual or children’s portrait shoot in MARCH and the session will be only $20 during normal business hours.
We have really enjoyed meeting kids from Trinity Christian Academy this year! They are all very photogenic and a pleasure to be around. Here are just a few that have visited us recently. Go TCA Trojans!
I hope you love our new line of sports art. We take an athlete and make something just perfect for him/her. It is an intricate process resulting in an unforgettable image. The picture shown is of my 14 year old son, Brock. I love it!!!
On Feb. 9th, we will offer a special day of pictures of kids with ROSES just in time for Valentine’s Day. Boys look cute in suits or sweaters and hats and the girls in pretty red, pink, purple, white, or black dresses. There will NO SESSION FEES and packages start at only $55. Call 972-335-3686 to make an appointment.
I don’t think there has been a time in the past 17 years that I have been more proud of the portraits we have produced. I can’t wait until the first of the year to share some of the new work from the Christmas season. I’ll start by sharing my new family portraits. My kids look so grown up now! Alona is 19 – a sophomore Broadcast Journalism major at OU. Brock is 13 – an eighth grader who loves baseball, football and basketball. He is now over 6′ tall – I can’t believe it!
Thanks to all of you who allowed me to help you capture an image of your family or child this year. I am so blessed to have such loyal clients. My mind is spinning with ideas for next year already.
Enjoy your family and have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!
