I draw inspiration from the subject God puts in front of my lens...the person, the soul or the scene.

For me, photographing people has always revolved around a couple of key elements including capturing light and the eyes in a beautiful way. I love directing my subject's position to a composition that makes the viewer look at the subject's EYES.  Another important element is controlling the light to draw attention where I want it. By manipulating the highlights and shadows with the light I use, this also directs the viewer's gaze to the subject's eyes. This is crucial to me in creating impactful photographs that make the viewer feel the soul of my subject. I would love to see you through my lens!         Kurt Nelson
