Prom!
It’s that time of the year!!!! Prom is such a special time and with all the work that goes into the clothing, etc., pictures should be done right and professionally! We got so many amazing pics of these McKinney Boyd seniors. Here are a few to share…
Alaina Turns One!
Little Alaina turned one and we had lots of fun recording the memory. Alaina’s mom brought the colorful fabric strips, banner and cake that helped in creating some special photos just perfect for her room that is decorated in similar colors. HOW CUTE!
Kimball
There are some photos that totally stand apart. This is one of them. I love the pose, the dress, the expression – it’s one of our favorites! This image was created during Kimball’s senior photo session. She did the Super Safari where we did some at the studio and the rest on location. There were SO MANY amazing pics!

Kourtney & Jacob
Weddings…..They are on my mind lately for sure. My niece, Kourtney got hitched on Jan. 10th to her beau, Jacob. I photographed their engagement, bridal and finally the wedding. I used to do a wedding every weekend and sometimes 2 so I definitely have photographed my share. Several years ago I decided to concentrate more on other areas of my business so I stopped accepting weddings. (Though I still do lots of engagement and bridal sessions) Things have changed dramatically in wedding photography over the years but there is one thing that stands…….quality matters. I did my research on current trends/styles, etc. in wedding photography and realized that there is ALOT of, well, how do I say it…..BAD and unprofessional work out there. I hope those who have a wedding in their future are extremely careful when selecting a photographer because the results can be sad to say the least. Choose wisely! Ask for references and to view complete weddings – not just a single image from a single wedding. Above all, if it seems too good to be true, it is. Just like other things – usually, you get what you pay for.
My own daughter, Alona, recently got engaged so weddings are really on my mind ALOT. It will be a fun time and I want the memories to be sweet! (and I’m not allowed to be the photographer.!!)
Families, Families and more Families!
I love this time of year because I get a chance to have a glimpse into the lives of so many amazing families. I love watching the interaction amongst family members and creating something they will treasure in the years to come. Besides my studio and garden I have found some awesome places for family pics this year. Hope your family enjoys the season together this year and everyone realizes how important they are to one another!

Here Comes the Bride
Though I stopped doing weddings several years ago, I still love to do engagement and bridal sessions. I did this session at the studio and we got so many amazing images of this gorgeous bride that she bought a book including her favorites. I love to shoot many types of images so the bride (or couple)_ have lots of choices including casual, relaxed unposed shots as well as beautiful traditional portrait images.
