Innovative Images

Many of you have probably heard that our twelve year old son, Brock, was hit by a car while walking home from school on Tuesday, March 31st. Kurt & I were at the studio when the accident happened, so the call we received was the most scary, awful thing that has ever happened to us. We rushed to the scene to find our son being loaded into a helicoptor to get to Dallas for immediate attention. Kurt jumped in the helicoptor and had a very traumatic ride. The rest of the story is very happy because Brock is making tremendous progress in his recovery. Our friends and family have been totally amazing and supportive during this ordeal. We had no idea of how many people we have in our lives that really care about us. Kurt says this experience has been the worst and the best of his life. One thing we know……GOD IS GOOD and prayers are answered. We know too that priorities can get a little mixed up and something like this will help shed light on the things in life that really matter. Thanks to everyone who has and is continuing to help our family through this experience. We are so grateful!

As I watched the pregame warm-ups at my son’s baseball tournament, I noticed how the horse seemed interested in baseball.  This horse roamed around at the field all weekend.  Only in Texas! 

OK – Is this boy gorgeous or not? He is a really great kid too! He is a senior in high school in Omaha, Nebraska but his parents live locally. He lives in Omaha because he is training to be a pro hockey player and his opportunities are broader in Nebraska. We wish him and his family the very best.

Tonight was the cheer banquet for McKinney Boyd High School.  We took pictures all season and put together a video mix for the Varsity Cheerleaders.  Working on this project reminded us again of how important pictures are.  We hope the girls from this team have many special memories that were captured in video and pictures so that they always remember what an awesome time of life they are experiencing! 

I recently photographed Tyler from Frisco High School.  He has a great look and we had a good time on the “Safari” senior session which included 2 1/2 hours in the studio and around town.  The “Safari” session is perfect for the senior who desires an artistic, magazine/fashion style similar to what is seen on music videos and music CD’s.

We took some images on the railroad tracks (which Frisco is famous for) .  The photos turned out really cool.  I especially like the  way the sky looks with the clouds rolling in .  In case you’re wondering….we had a storm the next day!

Every year Kurt says, “I want to go to Oklahoma to look at the fall color.”  Leaves don’t necessarily turn me on, but I’ve agreed to go several times and something always gets in our way.  This year he was absolutely bound and determined to go no matter what obstacle came along.  He invited two of his best friends, Dwight & Scott and they headed to our home state of OKLAHOMA to take in the beauty of the fall.  When he got home and showed me the images he had taken, I was in awe.  It was great for him to get away and do what he loves – photography!  This time however, there was no person to pose, etc.  I realized how truly gifted he is as a photographer as he finds just the right angles and light to help capture his images.  I hope you enjoy the pictures…. We spent the afternoon doing a creative session with Taylor. She was lots of fun and very photogenic! Taylor’s images were shot at the studio and at the Cotton Mill in McKinney. I envision some of these images like those you would see on a music CD! Here is a sampling of the incredible images we created.
