Though I stopped doing weddings several years ago, I still love to do engagement and bridal sessions. I did this session at the studio and we got so many amazing images of this gorgeous bride that she bought a book including her favorites. I love to shoot many types of images so the bride (or couple)_ have lots of choices including casual, relaxed unposed shots as well as beautiful traditional portrait images. Below are a few of her favs…….. 
Color harmony is so important to the outcome of a portrait. I saw the red dress and knew just what to do so that this would be a special portrait! One thing I try to do so that I have great choices is keep a wide array of backgrounds, furniture, etc., in the studio so that I can blend clothing appropriately. As far as outdoor sessions, my eyes are always searching and discovering new places that would be great backgrounds so I am ready when the opportunity arises. 
We see lots of babies, children under the age of 10, and high school seniors. It’s more rare but cool to photograph preteens and teenagers because their personalities are developing and they are discovering so many things about themselves. Kids this age can be challenging, but they are so interesting too. I have seen self esteem soar after a photo session with a kid in the “in between” years! 
I recently did a very photogenic high school senior with her own sense of style! The session was lots of fun and the results were outstanding!!! Here are a few of the favorites……..
A very important part of the creation of a great family photo is the clothing choices that are made by the clients. Below are some of my favorite examples of good combinations of clothing/colors/textures/styles that helped in making these recent photo sessions all successful!

My own family has a tradition each year of doing new family portraits. We try to do something a little different each time. This year we decided that we would do the photos outside across the street from our house and we wanted to wear neutrals. We coordinated the clothing and got a friend to assist. We loved the results so much that we now have one of these images in our family room in a 40 x 60 – it is awesome! Our daughter, Alona, is 22 and she works in downtown OKC for the Oklahoma City Redhawks. She just graduated from OU last spring and has her first job. Our son Brock is a 16 year old busy junior at McKinney Boyd High School. Nike is our little Peek a Poo dog. He is 3 years old and we all love him like crazy. 
I just love taking photos of this beautiful family! All of them have personality plus and they clearly love each other very much. I have been doing their family photos for years and each year we create something totally different. This year we did outdoor portraits on location at sunset for a casual look. It was a perfect day! The following day was our infamous ice storm so good thing we got this one in we did…
