The past few years there has been a fad in photography for unposed, outdoor, natural shots. While we enjoy and do this type of work, we also specialize in classic photography. This style will never go out of vogue and is something that truly captures the subject(s) in a way only a piece of artistic work of art can. This type of image lives for decades and looks incredible on the walls of our clients’ homes.
I fell in love with Colorado this summer while I was there on a baseball trip with my family. There are so many photo ops that I just had to go back. I just returned from another visit and this time the fall color was out. I did a few senior photo sessions as well as lots of landscape photos. The weather was awesome and the sights were unbelievable…
Some might find it hard to believe that we do more BOYS than GIRLS for their senior pics. Although some are not quite as excited as their female classmates about having senior pics, they usually end up enjoying the experience. Senior boys, I mean MEN are cool to work with and the results are unique. Since I have a senior boy in the Class of 2015, I know how boys this age are….it’s interesting and exciting watching them mature into men.

On Sept. 10th, we will be doing our “Ballet and Baseball” Children’s Theme Day. Whether you have a ball player or a ballerina, we can create something you will treasure! There is no session fee and packages begin at $60. We have antique baseball uniforms available or wear your own. We will provide roses for our ballerinas and they should wear their own tutus.

One of my friend’s son’s restored this old Chevy after finding it in a ditch. I saw it and knew I had to have it! The color and style of this truck have made it a favorite prop at my studio. It does run, but I rarely crank it up. It is parked in my studio garden and I use it when the situation is right. It works great for kids, families and high school seniors. Every year I offer a special day(s) for portraits with the truck called “Days Gone By.”. This year’s dates are June 18th & 26th for no session fees and special pricing on portraits. 
Though I stopped doing weddings several years ago, I still love to do engagement and bridal sessions. I did this session at the studio and we got so many amazing images of this gorgeous bride that she bought a book including her favorites. I love to shoot many types of images so the bride (or couple)_ have lots of choices including casual, relaxed unposed shots as well as beautiful traditional portrait images. Color harmony is so important to the outcome of a portrait. I saw the red dress and knew just what to do so that this would be a special portrait! One thing I try to do so that I have great choices is keep a wide array of backgrounds, furniture, etc., in the studio so that I can blend clothing appropriately. As far as outdoor sessions, my eyes are always searching and discovering new places that would be great backgrounds so I am ready when the opportunity arises.
